SHAC meetings are a great way of bringing academics and others interested in the history of chemistry and alchemy together. As the society’s membership is global, meetings are arranged both virtually and in person. In recent years our webcast presentations and meetings have become increasingly popular and a link to them can be found here.
The Society usually holds two in-person meetings a year in spring/summer and autumn at which members and invited speakers present papers for discussion. Information on future meetings is posted on the front page.
An archive of past meetings from 1999 to 2017 is also available. Details of meetings since 2018 can be found here.
Additionally, the Society’s Graduate Network organizes annual postgraduate workshops, usually held in autumn. Previous workshops were held at Cambridge, London and Amsterdam.
The Society also sponsors seminars, colloquia, conferences and exhibitions organized by others.
An archive of minutes of the Annual General Meetings is available here.
